From just a few fish sellers on bicycles under the trees that were then behind the Municipal Stalls Market (Soko Mawe), We have mastered all fish trade routes and extended our trade from Lake Victoria, to deliver all fish from all the lakes of East Africa to your doorstep in the entire Africa or overseas.

Our founding parents started as Busia Jua Kali Fish Traders Self Help Group and demand for our products increased and our members lists grew from just a couple to hundreds. We involve Youth, Women and Persons with DisabilitiesPWDsto Seniour Traders we joined to form BUSIA FISH TRADERS’ MULTIPURPOSE COOPERATIVE SOCIETY.

Our membership ranges right from the fishermen, fish farmers, local fish traders to exporters and importers. Joining is open to you all if you want to better your relation, Save, Get Loans, Get Educated and enjoy the Welfare of our group.

We have been assisted previously by the then District Fisheries Department and now the county government Directorate of Fisheries. BFTMPCS is led by M. John Sireka as the Chairman, Mr. Shaban Kassim as the General Secretary and Mrs Angeline Aloo as the Treasurer among other highly proffesional staff.
